Angela, known to a tiny portion of the anime fandom world as the Space Pirate Ryoko, lives in an enormously small apartment with husband, kitty, plants, and books. Though almost 25 years old and possessing a handy-dandy college degree, she has yet to venture out into the world of the real-life work force, timidly keeping her menial job at a local bookstore. Angela has been writing since her 6th grade teacher inisted she had talent, and is currently pasting together a novel from bits of her college life.
Her addiction to anime began innocuously enough, starting with pre-school doses of Sailor Moon, but quickly esclating into all-night Ranma 1/2 marathons and desperate attempts to snag fan-subs of Marmalade Boy from her school's anime club. Soon she found herself lurking in the anime section of the local video store, hoping for something--anything--new to keep her going between mail-order shipments. Friends tried to heal her addiction, suggesting manga as an alternative to anime, incorrectly assuming that the rush would be weaker in book form. Now she's become adept at piecing together complicated shojo storylines just by looking at pictures, and views her bills as part of an evil plot to dig into her Otakon manga fund.
On those rare occasions when she pretends she has a life other than anime, manga, and fanfiction, Angela plays the part of an armchair archeologist and studies anthropology, or she's hanging out at the zoo, talking with her best friends, the gorillas. She also enjoys Shakespeare and Gilbert and Sullivan, and has a tendency to lose all sense of decorum when onstage in front of an audience.
